В современных условиях Шанхайская организация сотрудничества выступает как одна из приоритетных пло- щадок взаимодействия между разными странами и Россией. Процесс географического расширения и качественного изменения ШОС в условиях геополитических трансформаций повлиял на характер межстрановых взаимодействий между государствами-членами. Несмотря на то что ШОС сталкивается с новой внутренней и внешней средой развития, со стратегическим сдвигом мирового порядка, она позволит России и другим государствам реализовать имеющийся экономический потенциал за счет двусторонней торговли и инвестиционного сотрудничества, создания зоны свободной торговли, единого таможенного пространства, использования опыта ЕАЭС, а также обеспечить функционирование новой глобальной финансовой системы. Обосновано, что полноценное участие Ирана положительно скажется на работе организации, так как страна играет важную роль в Евразии и глобально. Показано, что возможность создания единой наднациональной валюты в рамках ШОС представляется вероятной при условии, что организация сможет своевременно корректировать свое самопозиционирование в соответствии с потребностями развития ситуации и формировать краткосрочные, среднесрочные и долгосрочные направления и цели расширения.

N. Stepanov. Prospects for the SCO’s Economic Potential after Iran’s Accession

Annotation. The relevance of this article is due to the fact that in modern conditions the Shanghai Cooperation Organization acts as one of the priority platforms for cooperation between different countries and Russia. The process of geographical expansion and qualitative change of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the context of geopolitical transformations influenced the nature of intercountry interactions between the member states of the organization. Despite the fact that the SCO is facing a new internal and external development environment, with a strategic shift in the world order, it will allow Russia and other states to realize the existing economic potential through bilateral trade and investment cooperation, the creation of a free trade zone, a single customs space, and the use of experience EAEU, as well as to ensure the functioning of the new global financial system. It is substantiated that the full participation of Iran will have a positive impact on the work of the organization, since the country plays an important role in Eurasia and globally. It is shown that the possibility of creating a single supranational currency within the SCO seems likely, provided that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization can timely adjust its self-positioning in accordance with the needs of the development of the situation and form short-term, medium-term and long-term directions and expansion goals.
